Brag Post and School Organization

I have to take a second and brag about this guy:

My awesome husband has made a couple of pieces for me (refinishing a family heirloom hope chest, making an in-cabinet spice rack, creating an on-counter bread box that is beyond beautiful, etc.) and he is awesome at listening to me explain what I want and then creating exactly what I want/need. Case in point, I wanted to a gift for my parents' birthdays/anniversary that would allow them to easily display pictures of kids, grandkids, etc. Enter my super-talented husband who went above and beyond to create this beauty:

Now this leads me to the current honey-do list project. My two oldest started preschool this year and my middle kiddo also goes to a STELLAR autism-specific preschool. Needless to say, we have plenty of backpacks, jackets, etc lying around. Add that to the fact that we currently live with my in laws (2000ish square feet gets small real quick with 5 adults and 3 kiddos), and you can guess the predicament. After seeing my kids drop their stuff on the bench meant to help with putting on shoes (admittedly, at least it wasn't all over the floor), I knew we needed to do something. After talking to my husband about what I wanted, we visited our local store and realized we weren't willing to pay $20+, so we paid less than $5 for hooks, found some spare wood and stain lying around, and the hubs put together this:

The upstairs area is clean, my kids stuff is organized and in one place, and I couldn't be more thrilled! 50 points to the hubs!
