FHE Lesson: Armor of God, LEGO Edition
I actually got this idea from my mother when she did it earlier this month. We've been slacking this month on FHE, so I figured this would be a good one to start back on and engage the boys with. I found the following picture on Kidsology through Pinterest.
Since my kids are young (read: very short attention span), we only went over what it said on the paper as far as reading the scriptures and everything. I think, next time I give this lesson, I'll make sure I have an actual LEGO figurine (I saved my favorite at the bottom) to have a better visual. My mom also made bookmarks out of the above handout. When our kids are older, I'd love to revisit this lesson but go into greater detail over a discussion with them (maybe use examples of what each item could protect us from).
That's it. It was simple and quick (the name of the game with three kids under 5, in my opinion). Keep an eye out for next week's FHE Lesson: we're doing a Halloween-inspired Word of Wisdom lesson that I'm super excited about! :)
